Efficient and durable:
Fibre composites from KREMPEL in sports

Without fibre composite materials, neither competitive nor virtually any other kind of sport would be conceivable, as almost all sports equipment nowadays is made of plastic. There are good reasons for this. The selection of the reinforcing fibres and their orientation can deliberately influence the characteristics of sports equipment.

Depending on their intended use, reinforcing materials consisting of glass, aramide and carbon fibres as well as hybrids are available. Glass fibres exhibit isotropic, aramide and carbon fibres anisotropic behaviour. This means that glass fibres exhibit the same characteristics in all directions, whereas aramide and carbon fibres exhibit preferential directions.

The choice of reinforcing material depends not only on the desired characteristics but also on the processing techniques involved and on factors of economy. Talk to us about it.
